has anyone heard if there is a Vegas HD planned? MAybe with the new Sony HD camera their supposed to release?
Yup, it has since version 4 :)
Perhaps you're referring to HDV? Sony has said it plans to support HDV in Vegas.

You could edit HDV transport streams in version 4, as far as importing them and putting them on the timeline and playing and cutting and stuff like that. Couldn't output a transport stream back to the camera in version 4 though. I don't know if you can do it in version 5, I haven't tried.
