Still Photo Default Length

When you drop a jpeg, or other still into the timeline, what is the default length of time it is displayed? How can I change (shorten or lengthen) this property?

I want to drag in 50 stills, but I want all of them to transition quickly to a fast paced song. Is there a way to avoid manually trimming each one to the same custom size?

Options>>Preferences>>Editing>>New Still Image Length (seconds)

You can also set the transition duration between still here as well.
