* I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to make a duel layer dvd in sony's architect 2.0. I just got a NEC duel layer drive from newegg.com and it seems to me that i can't use the drive in Architect.

You mean DVD Architect 2.0?
You can't burn it from DVD-A with dual layers, but I would think you can create the disc image and burn it to a dual-layer disc with other software.
Of course, DVD-A may not allow you to create a disc image large enough to necessitate a dual-layer DVD.

I'm sure it will happen with the next version of DVDA but no dual-layer burning right not. DVD Workshop does a good job, interface is a bit finicky for my tastes but it's a robust program offerering dual-layer burning capabilities.

Thanks for the help and the suggestions. I know that Architect 2.0 just came out but does anyone know when a new version will be released?

No mention of it. Not going to be soon, I wouldn't expect.
