I stumbled upon an ad for RP lens, a company that re-purposes 35mm still lenses for HD video. Their webpage indicates they overhaul lenses to remove the shutter stops, fit a new filter thread, add follow focus gearing and a few other adjustments.
Has anyone bought their lens sets? Is the extra money to have the shutter stops removed and gears applied etc worth it or do/can you get by just fine without these modifications?
It would seem-based on my limited time with an adapter-that it would be a nicety to have the gears on and the shutter stops removed and focus throw adjusted but I'm not convinced it's worth the money.
Thanks
Bob
