[edit just realized i put this in the wrong forum, totally my bad.]

hey all, i downloaded SONIC's footage and have Log and Transfered it into FCP. Now these files come in saying they're 29.97. It's my understanding that I need to now take all these through compressor to turn them into 24p Apple ProRes files right? I need a little help on exactly what settings i want here.

for Video settings, do I want to change the fps to 24? or should i manually type in 23.98?

for filters, do i want to enable DEINTERLACING or not? if so, which algorithm?

thanks guys, i can't wait to get this footage right :)

Paul, you should read the stickies at the top of the page. I tried the Voltaic HD method and it's not a lot a lot different than doing it through Log and Transfer, even though you end up jumping apps. I didn't realise that with Voltaic you aren't just limited to AIC, as you can set any codec via the preferences for output.
