Picture in picture kind of thang?

I'm tring to figure out how to fly in a small still picture onto some video. heres the skinny.
I have a wide shot of a jewelry shop interior and I want to have some smaller stills of jewelry roll on to the screen.
Do I have to use something like photo shop to size the stills then import into Vagas? or can this all be done in Vagas?

It can all be done in Vegas, using the Pan/Crop tool or the Track Motion tool.
