Any ideas for shops? Have a friend in Japan who can pick up a camera and bring it back tax free. Works out at 900.

Looks like a larger than expected wait for the camera elsewhere:

Mid June in Europe.
Early June USA.

No plans for elsewhere, Panasonic Taiwan confirms testing market in rest of Asia before deciding to release at all - likely to be late July.

I was considering getting a second one right now but with the chances of updates included in the US cameras Im not going to pull the trigger just yet.

However, if someone's there then send them to Yodobashi.

Interestingly both Yodobashi and Bic are selling the GH1 body only, for 99,000 yen (660).

They also sell it with a 14-55mm for a little extra.

The proper kit with the 14-140mm isn't great, at 149,000 yen compared to 126,000 yen online, i.e. Japanese Amazon.

They're selling the 14-140mm lens seperately at 88,000 yen. Wonder if they're allowed to do this?
