Introduction: Remove pulldown with Procoder 3

Just a short introduction for removing pulldown with pc3. Along the lines of "a picture says more than a thousand words":

Now choose your container + codec depending to your liking and change some settings. In this case I took qt/photo-jpeg:

PC3 isn´t that what you call cheap, but it´s one of the best converter I ever used.

Really - in my case it works fine. No problems with importing .mts-files.

I can't decide if it's wiser to upgrade my old procoder2 or get the cineform intermediate converter...

It´s version 3.05. H264 + AVCHD are supported formats:

But I think "remove pulldown2 isn´t supported in this tool.

i tried using it like u said. for some reason the color gamma keeps shifting back and forth. it looks like the color temperature is constantly changing. did u ever run into that problem?

Thanks for pointing that out. I´m not an expert in pulldown removal with pc3 (pal-land). I was just trying it out 2 or 3 times. But now, after you mentioned it, I actually notice a chroma shift. It seems to be that it occur every twelfth frame or so. Hmm..., I don´t know what´s the reason right now. Perhaps someone else can give an answer. I´ll check out some other settings too.

Just rename .mts to .mpg and it'll work fine.

Actual state of affairs: I tried to get an answer concerning the slight color shift with the gh1-material after the pulldown removal. I wrote 2 requests: 1 at the "american grass valley/procoder forum":

Several anwers, but no solution. Sad but true. - Maybe it only occurs at the gh1-footage? I don´t know. I have no other "24p=60i-material". Perhaps somone else is able to make such a test?
