Hey guys my name is Ricky Norris and this summer myself along with a photographer will be shooting video and photography for various non-profits in Rwanda as well as Uganda and Zambia. We have a passion for cinematography and photography and have realized the huge need there is for quality media within the non-profit realm. Unfortunately, what is so necessary to receive funding to good causes is so unlikely to smaller non-profits who simply have no other money to devote to anything but their cause. So we are providing it for free.
We want to do everything we can to help the causes who truly need good media including: KEZA, Operation Hope Community, Acholi Beads, Mango Tree Self Help Arts & Education Center, HEAL Africa, Invisible Children, Krochet Kids, and St. Jude's Orphanage, and others based out of Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.
Anyway, I just thought I would fill ya'll in on it. Also if you feel inclined at all to support us, as poor film and art students from Biola University, in provding quality media for free to non-profits in Africa please check out my blog and the paypal at www.africa.rickynorris.com (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/www.africa.rickynorris.com)
I've been a reader of dvxuser for a while and even shot a fest (the artist, drama fest) and I've learned a ton from this site, so thanks to you all!
