I just got my HV30 today and shot a few takes and noticed that they shoot different.Of course.
I shot both with the VividRGB Preset and the XH-A1 on Tv 60 and HV30 with Cinemode.
I noticed at least on the LCD the HV30's Greens pop more but skin tones more of a orange.
Anyone have a setup or Preset, so that these two look alike so it's not so obvious it's a different camera?

Don't judge by the LCD screens, look at both clips on the same monitor.
The LCD screens are different and they aren't calibrated. Also, no two cameras are going to be exactly alike either.
Cinemode on the HV*0 should be sort of washed out and flat like the A1 default setting, not like a preset.
My favorite is Panalook, but NaturalO, and TrueColor are popular. Also, there is more than one version of Vivid RGB. I'd load 5-6 of those type presets and compare them with different settings on the HV*0.

This just came to mind,
The XH-A1 is going to be held back due to the HV30.
Cause I'm always going to try to match the two.
I like the Cinemode but it really does not matter.
As long as they look alike I can just the overall look of the picture in post ayways.
But if this is what I do,then this is going to be a point and shot camera and those $3000 bucks were for nothing.

Should I sell my XH-A1 and get another HV30 with 35MM adapter?

If you have to ask this question, you obviously don't need an XH-A1.
BTW, Custom Preset #8 on the XH-A1 is very close to Cinemode on the HV series.
I have been using XH-A1 as the main cam and HV30 as B-Roll. I am able to match the color output using Matrox RTX2 filter. You can read about it here

Also, I found the Preset #13 downloaded from DVInfo.net closely match with HV30 bare output (not cine mode).

Cini mode has an orange look, my HV30 is far best 25P Programn AE Outdoor or auto WB.
