Footage exporting out as 4:3...what's up?

my footage is 16:9 but exports out as 4:3...is there a reason for this?

Square pixels? Keep an eye on your dimensions and pixel height.

Might also be your quick time player, I have had trouble with QT in the past not displaying the correct aspect ratio.
Try opening it in something else, or reimporting it to a timeline to see if the video has been converted to 4x3.

yea i noticed when played in FCP it looks ok, but just playing the QT file loks like 4:3...what's up with that?
