Confused about Quicktime files

I just ordered these very cool motion backgrounds off of a guy on ebay. Turns out that they are in the Quicktime format. NTSC.
Will I be able to use them in menus on DVD Architect? In vegas too? Will I need to convert them to avi and if so, will I lose any quality? Can I just use Vegas to convert them if I have too? Anybody know?

Shouldn't be any issues. QT is a supported format.

They should work just fine, the only thing is that Quicktime files play back a little more slowly than AVI files. But you can drag and drop them directly on the timeline, no problem.
