Is that as noise free as it seems?

There is hardly any noise in the videos... I think there is some serious processing going on in camera to make the videos as clean as possible.

Aggressive noise reduction might come at the expense of detail / micro contrast / resolution.

My Noise Reduction has been dialed to zero and there's HARDLY any noise int he video. I see it when I get to 800ISO.

well it's a dual processor in there doing the work, it's definitely got the power to accomplish great things. at 17 mbps and the price point, i honestly think it's unbeatable. anything else that's "better" is that much more expensive. i've saving up every dollar i can to get one of these and good glass... i'd like to see more still photography and ISO comparisons if anybody is willing to post it up.

Remember this is based on the G1. The GH1 sensor is a bit better than the G1, but you can find lots of examples of G1 stills if you want to see what this camera can do.

Hi Liz, question;

how are they different? Would it make better stills as well?

Cheers
