Ok so Im a vegas user.. i have been shooting with my dvx100a in letterbox..

Ok so now I want to render it in 16:9 for wide screen. i can render it in 4:3 and it has the bars for normal TV.. Ok so i want to render it to 16:9 so it displays correctly on wide screen..

Problem arises is that genereated media.. "title bar" when it renders doesnt render correctly... it renders the text and title bar i designed with a generated gradient into an out of position mish mosh.. the text and title bar isnt properly positioned correctly at the bottom of my video..

Is there an aspect ratio toggle or something i can use to do this right?? Thanks :)

Forget the media-generated bars. What you want to do is go into the pan/crop tool in all your clips and choose the 16:9 template. Then render out as a widescreen project.

Im not making bars with media generator.. Im making a title like lower third that pushes onto the screen.. I already shot in letterbox.. Im confused..

it is placed properly when rendering to 4:3 but not 16:9 it is off position both title and generated lower third when rendering out wide screen

found solution i think... its my lower third not the lettering.. i need to readjust pan and crop for the lower third.. Your answer got me to thinking and allowed me to answer my own question.. ;) thanks
