Highest rendering output is either MPeg (which needs to be registered if you're on vegas 4, unless you cracked it..) or AVI. They come with default settings, but if your project is in widescreen, you will probably have to change it up if you want the black bars removed, and just a straight widescreen file (outputting to DVD?). other than that, if you're outputting for web download, the best file formats are .MOV (quicktime, use sorenson squeeze, which i don't think came with 4, but it's an integral part of 5), or even windows media player. You have to think of your audience. you don't want to have them download a player just to see your film. and also, render at either 512kb (lowest setting you should use for online viewing), or 1mbps, which has much better results and a fuller picture by default. if you have the webspace, render a 3mpbs MOV file using sorenson.

Hope it helped,
Josh

you kind of did :)

i am just converting it to dvd/and watching it on my dell xps so if you could give me the best for viewing it full screen with a 19 inch ultrasharp dell monotor that would be great :)
