Anyone? Just hook my consumer DV's RCA adapter to RCA's on
my VCR, hit play in the timeline, and record on the VCR. Is that it?

From Vegas? No. You'll get no sound that way. You have to print to tape first.

You can hit print to tape, but switch it to manual control, then let it render through your footage, and when it starts to play out to the camera hit record on your VCR. That way you don't have to record it to the camera first.
