This isn't my design, but I'm making one and so far so good. Check out this great link:

How do I find this useful? Voice over work. Don't have the money right now to buy a stuido microphone and couple it with all necessary accessories, so I'm using my trusty Rode NTG-2 and coupling it with this.

Those work pretty good, I know a studio that does that just because they have no quality issues with that type of setup and they cleaned it up a bit to it looks nicer then what it is.

That's good and all, but filters are pretty cheap.
You can get them starting @ $12 from local music suppliers.
But it is pretty damn clean looking for a DIY!
:)

All the pop filters at my local Guitar Center were like $30 to $50. I need to check out your supplier.
