I've read every thread in the Vegas forum that has pulldown in the message subject or body. I don't believe my question is answered in the archives...
I produce video for internet delivery, usually via Flash FLV file format.
I shoot the material in 24pa. (have been using squeeze mode lately)
I edit in 24p timeline with pulldown removal.
I use Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 to compress my edited material.
To get to Sorenson I render from Vegas 5 as an AVI.
Question: Do I need pulldown?
I have tested with uncompressed AVI (huge file!!!!), inserting 2:3, and inserting 2:3:3:2 pulldown.
They all look about the same. The uncompressed AVI option takes years longer to render and is a way bigger file than the AVI's with pulldown, and the original DV material.
What will give me the best final version of the AVI for compressing?
