LCD Screen for HVX

Could you in theory since the input and output is the same hook an HVX 200 to a standard, 7in car lcd monitor, even the ones with dvd players attached? Easy way to get a larger screen, and save money. would it work?

Yes, you could do that, provided the monitor has either HD component, or S-video, or composite input.

So it'll work, but whether it does you any favors or not depends on a) the quality of the monitor, and b) the way you connect to it. HD Component will be leagues better than s-video, which would be substantially better than composite.

what are you wanting to use it for?

Basically as a simple, cost effective way to have a monitor for my director that is a good rez and no tied down to viewing on camera lcd.
