Is there a way to set the button to activate 10 seconds after the menu comes up. What I am tring to do is I created a video clip I want to use as the munu. I created text in the video clip of the button names and I know if you use the text only button and delete the text you can drag the box over where you want the button. I have got this to work so far but at the start on the menu I don't want to see the button highlight until a certain time. Is there a way to do this?
e.g. Menu starts black and fades into softly transparent video. Within 10 sec. the text starts to appear. I want the buttons to activate after this. the video clip is 2 min long and will loop. Is this clear or am I the only one confused?

I think that the only way to do this and keep it within the DVD spec is to first have a movie set as first play. This movie will include all the effects that you want to have happen, including an exact replica of the actual DVD menu, without the buttons or text on it. You will then do all your fading and transparencies and whatnot in this movie. Set it so that the movie ends right before the buttons are to appear. You will then set your DVD main menu as an end action for the movie (it should do this automatically). The buttons will then appear after the duration of time that you specify in the movie.

Here is a frame grab(thanks jarred)

What happens is this is the menu. The video in the background plays while you look at the menu. The buttons(the ones in purple) fade in about 10 sec into the video. I can make the buttons work but when the video first starts to play you see the line for the first button. I wanted to try this idea and don't know if dvda2 can even do this. If dvda2 can't do this does anyone know what dvd program can?

again, you could do it the way that I posted above, that is how most hollywood DVD's do it. I can't think of another way to do it. Just to clarify, the first play should not be a menu, but a movie file. The last frame of the movie file should look exactly like the menu, but not interactive. Then the menu loads and gives you your underline. It is not completely seemless on all DVD players, but most people are accustomed to that.

The thing is that i was hoping i would not have to do it like that.

That's how it's generally done.

Do any programs have a button delay. I mean where you can have the button appear at a set time?
