I have completed my first project in Vegas, saved the project ( project.veg ) and am trying to open this file as a new DVDA project so that I can burn to DVD. I try to open a new project file as a "Single-Movie" but am unable to open the file.

I get an error stating that the file is not the correct File Type. I have tried to change the name extension of the file ( to "project" and "project.dar" ), but this still does not work.

How do I import/massage my .veg timeline into a file that can be pulled up via DVDA?

You can't.

What you need to do is render your project as an MPEG-2 file using the DVD Architect template which suits your project (24p, widescreen, etc.)

Then, you need to render your project as an AC-3 audio file with the same filename.

Then, in DVD Architect, you create a new DVD project and drop the MPEG file into it. If the AC-3 file is the same name, it will automatically grab it.
