SxS format

Does any one regularly reformat their SxS cards or do you just delete the clips. I know with digital still cameras it is a good practice to reformat the card every now and then. I was wondering if the same is true for SxS. It seems that the same should apply to SxS cards.

I'd assume so as well - and I format my cards after every shoot - of course only after the footage has been successfully transferred to my storage RAID, and backed up on a number of other drives.

I've heard of people having success with both.

1) Format cards after each use (this is what I do)
2) Erase All Clips using the camera menu
3) Erase all clips using XDCAM Clip Broswer (i've used this method for long shoots where I'm switching cards a lot)
