Is the HPX300 got the same lens then the JVC HM700 ?

It seems that the one on the JVC got some major Chromatic Aberration...

see from post 13:

If it is the same lens, I can verify that with the CAC funtion on the HPX300, I saw basically no chromatic aberration in my footage. Not sure about the JVC at all.

The lens on the JVC is the Th17X5BRM and I'm not sure what is on the 300 since I'm still in Vegas. All of the literature online says that it just a 17x Fujinon. I'm pretty sure that they are the same lens even thought the HM700 doesn't support the CAC feature that the HPX300 does.

CAC rules, it makes a huge difference in my experience, especially when you shoot with the lens at it's most telephoto setting, which is what I just did for my last project with the 300.

Jan from Panasonic said that the lens that comes with the Hpx-300 is a lens especially made for this camera. I'm not even sure if you wanted another one just like it, you could get it, unless you went through Panasonic. ( repair) Perhaps.
The other 1/3 inch lenses on Fujinon's website are not the same lens.
I asked her, because I wanted the option of ordering the camera with a 2x lens option. There are also no immediate plans to offer this camera without a lens, which was my next question, as I wanted better glass than was offered.

We can run some tests and see.

The XT17X4.5 on the HPX300 has a lookup table built in for the CAC algorithm in the camera.

The Panasonic version is a 17x 4.5mm with CAC. The JVC version is apparently a 17x5mm, without CAC.

As Dan said, CAC makes a huge, massive difference. When I was shooting res chart comparisons between the 300 and the EX1, I was really surprised to see just how much cleaner the 300 was.

If any 300 owners want to see how much difference the CAC functions make, try unplugging the lens (which disables the CAC function). I did that on an HPX500, and that's how I tested for the CAC article I wrote up a while ago, here in the articles section.

Thanks everyone for the answer...!!!

How wide is the 4.5mm 1/3'' compare to a 4.5mm but 1/2'' ?
