A story told from different time periods in one man's life. From begging on the streets to his rise to stardome, to his mysterious death, Crossroads tells the story of a man and what he's willing to do to become the greatest blues guitarist of all time.

UPDATE: APRIL 21st 2009
Crossroads is greenlit.

UPDATE: APRIL 22nd 2009
Thread started. Rough story board finished. Figured out what kind of special effects we will need, what kind of lights we will need and what kind of props/costumes we will need. The following is a list of equipment we'll be using:
Panasonic AG-HVX200A
RODE VideoMic/Boom
DIY Lighting
Custom Dolly
Other small stuff (Tripods, filters, adapters etc)
We will NOT be using a 35mm adapter.

UPDATE: APRIL 23rd 2009
Wrote Music today. All music will be on an acoustic guitar and will all be blues. The official sound track is as follows:
Buskin' Bum Blues
My Soul Be A Dyin'
Last Set of Tears
We also started to draw lighting plans, which we'll finish tomorrow. On topof all that, we put all of our work into a neat binder. So now we're professionals.

UPDATE: MAY 2nd 2009
Everything in pre-production is finished. (Lighting Plans, Script, Storyboard, Audio plans, etc, etc). We'll be shooting (hopefully) on May 9th. It's a short script. Possibly shorter than 4 minutes. But there's going to be some neat effects, good music, and hopefully it will convey some good themes. Our locations are pretty cool too.

I use a videomic too! And are you not using a 35mm because you don't have access to one, or is it because you have some sort of secret vendetta against them? But good luck with the film!

Just because we don't have access. I suppose the capitalized NOT kind of made it seem as though I hate them

Oh yeah....Guitars and cameras...Quick question. Are you using Original Robert Johnson music? If so, How did you secure the rights?

no, we wrote our own music for this one. our music, however, still contains the same tone as Robert Johnson songs.

I'm a Robert Johnson fan. Looking forward to seeing how you handle this story and what music you came up with for it. :Drogar-SunGlass(DBG

yeah, the movie really centralizes around the changing tone of the music. It should be very interesting, at least.
