I have another Question.

Has anybody made expiriences in SD Shooting with that camera?
My main client still wants SD, so can anybody tell me something about Rolling Shutter, noise, skew, flash etc. in SD-Mode ( interlaced )?

The Rolling shutter is controlled in SD the same way as in HD.

Best,

Jan

Thank you for the answer!
Thats what i expected, but some people reported that there are more problems in 1080p, less problems in 720p so i thought there maybe are minimum or no problems in SD... :-)

Chris

Rolling shutters are rolling shutters, they are different between the frame sizes, but it is there and you can work around it, just like they have been doing on the Ex1/EX3 for the last year or two. Give it the same respect that you give to not having motion judder in the video and you will be fine. With the upcoming Flashband comensation, it will take that last uncontrollable element out of the con list for the 3MOS imagers. The skew you can control.

Best,

I am very keen to see footage using the FLASH BAND compensation update since i mostly do events with lots of Strobes & Scanner lights etc.

Did you see the clip of Jan at NAB demoing it? It is on the Fresh DV site. Looks to be great!
