16:9 into 4:3?!

I created a project (DV NTSC Widescreen), but in the viewer, it looks like 4:3. So then I clicked 'toggle aspect ratio correction' which seemed to fix it. When I exported it, though ... 4:3. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something? This feels very counter productive.

what are you exporting as? quicktime? are the settings in the export box set correctly? if you are exporting as quicktime there is a size box on the video section of the movie settings box. if you click that your export settings are selectable?

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I'm using the render queue, not the export option.

you might try output module settings. I have not had this problem but there is a section under main options in the output module settings called stretch that has format options. I am not by any means an AE expert. still learning but this might work. Is it in the composition window that it is showing it 4:3 or is it after output?

I'm not sure. I sent something out as a test and it seemed ok. hopefully someone with more knowledge chimes in soon.
