View Full Version : Which analogue converter?

I have a situation where I need to get both composite and SD-SDI live output from my EX1. Basically the composite is sent to a number of DVD recorders and a little SD hard drive based recorder (an 'Archos' recorder) but I have been requested to provide either a component or SDI output for display on a large screen (this is all at a reasonable sized football stadium).

Unfortuantely the EX outputs either SDI & component analogue, OR, composite, but not both at the same time.

So I am looking for a cost effective way of converting the Component signal back to composite for my recorders so I can supply a SDI feed for the screen.

These are second grade games so there is actually no money involved in providing the feed for the screen, I am there filming for the DVD & hard drive recorders and are only trying to provide the feed for the screen as a bonus to them so I am not about to spend a lot of money on something... Worst case they can take a composite feed but it isn't going to be the best option of course.

Any ideas?

PS: If there was a SDI to analogue converter I would also be interested as long at I get a SDI loopback and composite as a minimum.
