Hey all, Panasonic is highlighting a bunch of DVXUsers on their demo footage. They asked for footage from folks who are using their cameras. On the reel I've seen Kevin Railsback, Noel Evans, Art Aldrich, Travis, Jack Stanley/Timur Civan, and probably some others... I thought it was awesome when Red did this, so to have Panasonic doing it and to have our forum members' footage being used to show how good their cameras and monitors are, is, well, pretty cool...

Not to take away from Red doing this, but Red wasn't even a company when we first did this. We did this with the Varicam, SDX900 and the DVX100 Cameras in 2003 and 2004 when Stuart English worked for Panasonic. The SDX900 reel included footage from Noak Kadners film, and good number of other folks that I found through the internet. It was my effort on the SDX900 and the DVX100, my counterpart handled the Varicam. I believed, still do, that people that make pictures get inspired by looking at pictures. They then either rent or purchase the camera whose pictures inspired them the most. If your stuff was chosen to be on this reel, it made the cut through the committee.

It really is a very nice reel of footage and I thank everyone. If you are at the show, this monitor wall is on the booth side of the theater with what I call the Tiffany Window(future product plan area) There really are some very nice clips there.

Thanks everyone.

Best,

Jan
