For those who don't know, MoviePoet.com (http://www.MoviePoet.com) is a free screenwriting site with over 1,000 five page scripts in our database.

In the past, several DVXuser films have been created from MoviePoet scripts including the third place winner in TimeFest, "The Small Multiple", the third place winner in TwilightFest, "Teacher's Pet", and the second place winner in LossFest, "Placebo".

I realize 1,000+ scripts can be a little overwhelming to read through, so here a dozen that might be interesting for QuestFest.

A man bent on revenge finds it in the most unlikely of places…church!

"Daylight Robbery (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=1021)" by Martin Lancaster
Not your average bank job.

"Eldorado (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=634)" by Matias Caruso

"Freer (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=1269)" by MJ Hermanny

"Hole In One (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=979)" by Eric June

"Lithium (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=905)" by Joel Davis

"Stall (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=942)" by Audrey Webb

You will need to register (it's quick, easy, and free) to read the scripts. If you find one you like, please contact the author directly to arrange for the rights.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

To bad you couldn't consider the monologue scripts.

Robbie, No problem. Sorry it took so long.

Chris, Once the "Monologue" contest is over, I will add a couple of scripts to the list.

ZazaCast, I agree. I love that script. It's amazing what a talented writer can do in a page. I would love to see someone film that.

Why can't I download these scripts? I'm a member on the site.. but every time I click a link to read the script, it sends me back to the home page.

That's one of my favorites. I'm sure someone knows a diving school that would love to help make this baby.

I got the rights for Brian Butterworth's Bedroom.

Still deciding if I'm going to produce it or not, I want to make sure I have my mind made up before I make a decision.

Robbie, That's great. I adore that script. If you decide you're not going to do it, please let the writer know asap, so someone else has a shot at it.

Yep its important for writers to know where they stand asap as its only fair so they can ensure someone else produces them etc :P Its a great site you run there Chris - your doing great work :)

Everything is up to date... I've tried it with different browsers and it's always the outcome. Clicking the download link on any script sends me to the home page. :(

I've tried it with different browsers and it's always the outcome.

I've tested the site with my Apple and my PC (using Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera) and they all work. On top of that, our scripts have been opened over 100,000 times, by members with different setups. I wish I could duplicate your error so I could help you. I'm sorry.

This site is terrific! A week or two ago I was searcing the internet trying to find something like it, but didn't have much luck. Thanks for enlightening some of us!

Mike - perhaps your suffering the same thing I did the first time I tried to follow links from here to some of the scripts in a previous fest.

If not logged in then clicking Chris' link will take you to that scripts page with no ability to download. If you are logged in, however, it will take you to the same page but the title of the script is now clickable. If you click that title then it will download the script.

Chris - Might be good to add a more specific download link to the page, or a note somewhere that clicking the title will trigger the script download
