I am looking for DVDs with very in depth extra content that shows what went into the making of the film. One of my favorite "making of" was in the big Lord of the Rings box set. It takes a look at almost every aspect of making the films if only for a little bit. It covers six DVDs if I am not mistaken.
I view these as almost video tutorials and as close as many of us will ever get to learning from the masters.
Anybody else have any good ones?

The new King Kong had a making of similar to LotR, I think.

There have been threads about this before--
Aliens has a very thorough behind the scenes set of videos on the DVD, with a lot of detail about the effects work.

I produced almost twelve hours of DVD bonus material for The Wizard of Oz (three disc collectors set) and out of the twelve hours, about half is dedicated to the making of in one way or another if you want to know how epic films were created back in the days of ASA 25 speed three strip Technicolor.
The company I worked for also did the Alien Quadrilogy that has a ton.
All of the big Marvel titles had ridiculously long making of featurettes that we worked on. (Fantastic Four, Iron Man, etc.)
I also shot a lot of pieces for Die Hard IV. Lots of stuff on that one.
