Hi there

Anyone know the best method for cleaning the sensor on the 5D2 ?

I have a few spots showing up on all my footage.

Any help appreciated.

Hey Lee you might want to do a Youtube search...I have a kit from Artic Butterfly and for my Rebel XTi I just used a Rocket blower (actually try that first). This kit is supposed to be very good as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpSi27u4azQ&feature=related

I think my OP answers your question.

Hi, long time SLR user and hopeful 5D2 user, just doing some reading up on the video community and capabilities here.

I'll concur that the sensor swab method is good. Though not officially supported by Canon, it is by other major manufacturers, plus, they will guarantee your camera if something happens during cleaning.

Have a read here - it compares several methods.
