Is it an acceptable format?

I have a Sony DCR-DVD 610E camcorder. Are there any film festivals that accepts this DVD format? Any good film festival, a good platform for filmmakers? :)

Usually most film festivals prefer DV or other digital tapes for showing movies, but some accept DVDs too. The small DVDs from that camera (in my understanding) are in standard DVD format, so they should be playable with standard DVD player.

It's best to check and ask the preferred format for each festival, they will tell you if DVDs are not preferred.

Well, the format of the camera that it's show on doesn't matter as presumably you won't be turning in raw footage straight from the camera. As long as you can edit it and get the final cut onto a DVD, it should be fine.
