HvX-170 Kit

Hi guys,

Seriously looking to buy an HPX 170 with Letus adapter/ rails setup. What do you suggest for P2 storage and P2 card reader? I'm going to start out with 2 16GB cards

What's the best way to read the P2 Cards and backup the Cards. Ideally I want to shoot and give the client a HD of my footage that was shot..

I really like the Ex1 in low light, how does the HPX 170 handle in low light?

that's HPX not HVX.

everything you've asked has already been answered A LOT - do a forum search. long and short of it is:

the ex1 and hpx170 each has their own plus and minus points. low light, popular opinion tends to lean toward the ex

your personal p2 workflow depends a lot on a number of things. the primary two are:
1. is the metadata important to you
2. what platform/software are you using to edit

unless your client has a computer with dccproHD friendly software. they arent going to be able to read your raw P2 footage (nor your captured footage). you'll have to do something like log and transfer in final cut pro. batch that to something they can use and then give them that
