How would a HPX300 stand against JVC700

I know the diff are -

300 has full raster Cmod chip
700 has pixel shifting ful raster ccd

300 uses P2 media (expensive)
700 uses HDSD cards (cheap)

Both have two slots for media

300 has 100mbps 10bit 422
700 has 35mbps 8bit 420

& more pls do correct me where i m wrong ... any idea how about pix quality would compare to each other ?

Also i wanted to ask CD folks -How much pix quality diff can we expect if we use XDR/nano at ifram 160mbps on JVC700 as against 35mbps of in camera recording. We have discussed much about HPX300 but how about JVC !

hpx300 had timecode i/o and genlock if I'm not mistaken. Can be very iimportant for multicamera shoots. Both are currently shipping with the same lens (at least I think they are).

JVC is lighter, and very comfortable for a shoulder mount, but thats a personal issue. Some people prefer the larger HPX300, it looks 'pro' to customers.

HPX is wireless audio ready, not a manufacturers option on the HM700.

JVC does not suffer from skew, so if 108024p is what your are looking for, then you have a tough decision to make.

Both output 10bit 4:2:2 via the HDSDI connector.

The Convergent Designs folks did tests with their codecs vs the 35 mb/sec from the EX1 I seem to remember, and the JVC uses the same one I believe. There was a fair bit of difference in favour of the 100 mb/sec codec as you'd expect.
Main difference to me must be the CMOS/Rolling shutter. For a lot of work it won't be an issue and allows a high spec/res image at a small price, but definitely no good for action work like wildlife IMHO.
