Alrighty, time for the Friday Night Raptor Show.
Here's what I've been working on for CGIF 3.
This time I'm ready. My first entry is done, a pretty simple concept, took me 3 days I think.
I spent most of one day just figuring out and fixing coordinate errors in the reel that were causing some wierd lighting spectral effects. Some points somehow got misaligned by a fraction due to the decimal limitations of C4D. Sometimes that happens to me when I move/scale an object around too
much, things tend to slip out by a few thousands of a unit, enough to cause lighting artifacts sometimes.
Anyhoo, here's grab. Not hard to figure out what's taking place here.

I started on a second entry 4 days ago with pictures of a dvx100 provided by my brother and began modelling a dvx100.
Because I'm only using ref pics, some things are a bit off, the stereo mics for example appear to be too wide, I can probably fix that.
It's hard to tell with pictures.
The back and other side still need to be completed and I need to touch up some of the current pieces.
I'm shooting for next Friday to have the model wrapped.
I'm also noticing with soft shadowing there are a few objects that have the hard edges showing which shouldn't be happenning, It should look smooth. Another one of those " jeez, now I have to fix that" kind of thing that digs into my time.
Hopefully I can get this entry in as well, but at least I already have one done that's half decent so I'm less paranoid this time around.
Hope ya'll having fun.
Entry 2 W.I.P.
