Here is a sneak peak at the agenda for the 8th annual FCPUG SuperMeet to be held at the RIO Hotel, Tuesday, April 21.

Blackmagic Design will present filmmaker Arthur C. Smith
After five years in the making, Art's film about polar bears on the edge,
Ice Bears of the Beaufort, debuted and has won numerous awards as well as
critical acclaim. Art will be traveling down from the village of Kaktovik on
Barter Island in Arctic Alaska where he lives and works with his wife
Jennifer. He will show clips in magnificent 1920x1080 glory and discuss his
workflow in sub zero temperatures.

Adobe’s Karl Soule will show off workflows between FCP and Production
Premium.

JVC’s Craig Yanagi with help from Tim Dashwood will show off the brand new“instant editing” GY-HM700 Camcorder.

"Digital guy" Bruce Nazarian will be on hand with a very special
announcement for Mac Users and Blu-ray

FCS Guru and trainer Larry Jordan will give us a brief tour of the
revolutionary very first customizable music plug-in, (yes plug-in) for Final
Cut Pro.

5 P2 cameras, 6 wireless microphones, freestyle shooting, a Sound Devices
788T recording 8 tracks of audio, and less than a week from shoot to air.
Jeremy Garchow, Creative Cow Leader, Editor and Post Production Supervisor
at Maday Productions will walk us through this never seen before workflow.

Kim Salyer of Video Arts and Joanne Dorgan freelance producer/editor will
present a case study about the Coca-Cola Pavilion and the Adidas Spiral
Theater at the Beijing Olympics.

Filmmaker and Red Guru Steve Sherrick will give us a primer on Indy style
Red Workflow and show us really fine Red Footage.

SuperBooth:

This year for the very first time, the FCPUG Network will have a booth on
the show floor. Booth #SL10129 will be located in the lower-lower South Hall
conveniently near the Blackmagic Design booth, the food area and public
restrooms.

The SuperBooth will have a different presentation almost every 20 minutes
for all 4 days of the NAB Show. Presenters will include: Alex Lindsey, Mark
Spencer, Steve Kanter, Rob Birnholz, Dan Berube, Philip Hodgetts, Larry
Jordan, Arthur Smith, Noah Kadner, Shane Ross, Jim Kanter Gary Adcock, Cynthia Stein, John Flowers,
Norman Hollyn, Joanne Dorgan and Kim Salyer, Anthony Artis, Rich Harrington. And more.


SuperDVD and SuperMag
This years edition of the SuperMag will be over 170 pages long filled with
