Lol...I hit submit and saw that I was in the 50th percentile and nearly shit. Then realized that originality lives on and I am only one of two people who voted.
Crime.

Pickles and Ice Cream is kind of an action comedy thriller with adventure, crime and gangsters, and a bit of romance... honest!
I posted a vote in Comedy.:)

Genera... Hocramex. (horror, crime, drama, experimental).
Maybe.
Or it could be a romantic comedy starring good looking people with nice teeth. Not quite sure yet.

He he. I couldn't help myself. If you would've put ODD, or 0.66 aspect ratio I would've chosen them too. :)
Actually, my next one might be really normal. Ask Jason. Sent the pitch today.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say there will be a lot of comedies. Simply, because it is hard as hell to pull off a serious 'quest' based drama in six minutes. It really lends itself to a 'beer run' or 'white castle break', etc. Not that's a bad thing.
I just hope no cats are harmed in any filming, this time. :Drogar-Love(DBG):

I think we're going to get more action based adventure films this time around with people taking the opportunity to explore what a quest really means other than the obvious Indiana Jones type of movies. If we have more beer-run movies I'm going to be very disappointed since we've getting better entries than youtube type skits.

TFG falls under Action/Heist. Definitely be incorporating some elements of comedy, though.
What's the average wait on hearing back about your pitches? How long you guys wait?
Just under 24hrs to hear back on ours.

There is only so many ironic quest comedy films that can be handled gents - please remember (anyone going down that route) that you will not be the only one...

Exactly Puck - i just can't handle the prospect!
Not to sound snobbish but (I am British after all) its just a nightmare prospect. I think some folk just dont spend nearly enough time thinking about their idea before going and rushing out to produce it. I suppose the new pitching process will manage to scrape away the most irrelevent film ideas to the fest theme.
But sure - you see...
At the risk of sounding polititical - i suppose individualism is a strong american characteristic and tradition - so is consumerism (as of late!) This combination can have terrifying consequences when you have these kinds of bourgeious tales of 18 year olds, who live in middle class suburbs... who drive SUV's... and whose sole life is to hope that the girl they text in their newest mobile phone (sorry cell phone) will sleep with them - at their friends college party (the er exciting climax as it were) entendre ending.
That just sucks - I say now to anyone thinking of that idea - that they really should try eating their own faeces for improved inspiration! At the risk of sounding like a grumpy meanie i also think any cheesy action comedies based on the quest angle will ultimately suck as well.
What I hope to watch is some guy who manages to completely awe - inspire me with an epic artistic vision (be it in the development of a character) or a dude leading a CGI army - whatever! I want maturity... Genuine artistic merit.
Not some guy mucking about with his mates BOOoooo!
I'm counting on you Puck! And ZAZA!!!
In a way (and i promise mod ill not say anymore on this) i think Lossfest produced ridiculous top 2 winners...) and this time i think and hope things will be different - that we will see true art make it to the top - and that filmmakers will aspire to produce it.

Your idea was actually a complex form of expressionism Zazacast - that made my day.
Having some guy dressed up like a gimp going 'biaaatch' every two secs, pretend ninja fighting his other mates dressed like gimps - while im supposed to laugh at the cheesy disco music and barely resembled quest theme - that - that won't be funny :P
Bobble heads will!

How about a half CGI army? Does that count.
