Hi everyone, I just noticed that when I have my DVX100b off an I move it, it sounds like if there is some loose piece inside of it, but when I turn it on the sound dissapears. I want to know if that sound is normal. Thanks.

Sounds like you may have used a 1/4 21 tripod screw by mistake. It's tedious, but you must count prior to screwing it in. The 1/4 20 is what you want.

Bro,
You should really try a SEARCH first...and get BARRY GREEN'S DVX BOOK!

What you are hearing is the auto-stabilizing thing inside the camera. That's normal. It tightens up when you turn it on.

Cheers.

its normal. i had the same concern the first time i shook my camera when it was off (not on purpose of coarse!) but i bugged and thought i killed my camera some how.

turns out the auto stabializer is all it is

when i first got my camera it made no such noise.
as suggested by someone else here, I slammed it on the table several times and now it clunks quite a bit.
Thanks DVXUSER:beer:
