Picture Profile PP compatibility between EX1 & EX3

ok, i've searched all over and i swear that i've read here or there that the Picture Profile settings in a EX1 aren't quite compatible with those on an EX3. is this true? can i use the same, exact PP settings on an EX1 and match them to an EX3 either manually or with an SxS card transfer?

Nope, the cameras wont look the same. I've done a number of multicam shots with both cameras and im always fixing slight differences in post.

I'm surprised by this? I thought the two cameras should look almost identical. You can't share PP settings by copying from one camera and pasting to the other, but I thought the actual PP settings were identical, hence the cameras should look identical. What's the difference? Same sensor, same lense, same electronics.....hmmmmm.

I have a shoot on Tuesday where I plan to mix an EX3 with Letus Ultimate adaptor with a EX1 bare naked. The EX1 will be a second camera for interviews (wide shot).

Will do. But we're not editing until a week from Thursday (April 23rd). So it will be a while before I can report back. But I'm not too worried about them not matching. (maybe I'll end up regretting those words. hehehehehe)

I would expect the letus to create some differences to the picture being matched to a plain EX-1
