Hi All,

I have been battling some firestore footage for the last few days. I shot a very long performance onto a firestore. I think that there was a power-down during the recording and the footage in now in two clips (marked spanned). I'm able to see/hear the footage in the Log and Transfer window preview, but I'm unable to import it- I receive the "!". I also tried a workaround by using Calibrated MXF software. By doing that, I was able to bring in all the .MXF files into FCP but they seem to only be about 11sec long for every 2-3 minutes of footage. Grrrrr. Can anyone offer a suggestion?? Thanks.

I had a problem a while back where I recorded a live event on the FS-100, and the most important clip refused to import in FCP's Log and Transfer. It would play back fine on the camera, and it would playback fine in the L&T window, but whenever I tried to import the file it would fail and show the red stop sign symbol.

I downloaded the demo of P2 Log Pro, and I was finally able to import the file. The demo only allowed me to important a single clip from the drive (the first file it saw), but I was able to trick it into importing all of the spanned clips by taking each individual clip and copying it into its own folder on my computer's hard-drive (formatting each of the folders so that they looked like individual P2 cards).

There was a visual glitch in the first spanned clip, before the speech even began, and I can only assume that it was causing the failure in FCP. P2 Log Pro was able to work past it though.
