View Full Version : Help with cleaning anamorphic lens

My 16:9 conversion lens fell off DVX100 and came apart and I had to fix it. But now when there is the slightest spill of light into the lens it looks all smudgy (especially outside in the sunlight and you get a bit of lens flair). I tried to clean the glass pieces with lens tissue and lens cleaning fluid but all to no avail. What can I do to clean it?
You said it came apaert and you put it back together? Are you sure everything is bacl together properly? Maybe something cracked in the housing of the lens and you are getting some light leaking in where it should'nt? The lens are facing the proper direction?

The plastic around the screws broke so I just got Screws with bigger heads.

It seems like its all back together properly, but I can't seem to get it smudge free.
