Anyone know the way to make a custom transition? I figure AFE would also be needed, but I have no idea on how to do it. I searched around here and Googled it, but didn't find anything.

Anyone know of anything?

What kind of transition are you talking about. There are a bunch of the available out there.

You can write your own transitions for FCP... it's called scripting. Check the manual for a little insight.

But seconding Blaine, there's so much out there now that you can probably find what you need... quite possibly for free.

There is a ton of good stuff out there. Here is a good tutorial from digital juice on creating custom transitions

Basically, I was looking for one that was kind of like a wipe with a pink glittery effect. I think that makes sense. I'm editing a fashion show, so I need to make it "fabulous" and cute, so I guess I'll try making it, or maybe you guys can point me in a direction if you know of one.

If you composite the transitions in Motion, you can use the particle emitters to create the pink glitter.

I would have to say as well that Motion is the easiest way to go on this. Unless you find a 3rd party transition set which has something like this (none I know of) you will have to make it yourself, using a compositing program, or even photoshop to create sparkles and then animate them in FCP.

If that's out of your league/budget, then come up with an idea that communicates the same 'fabulous' style that you can do within your skills/budget, and get with a free filter set.
