Ok I have a heck of a problem so if someone can solve it I will be eternally grateful.
I can't upload footage I have shot. I am using a Sony DCR-HC32 to upload but it was not the originaly camera it was shot on. I am using this sholder mount camera from school that doesn't connect to a computer. The sony happens to be able to read the footage i shot on the sholder mount. It has a handy cam station which has ports for the usb cable and the firewire cable. This is also the charging station. I am using a fire wire cable that is working. The camera is also brand new. I'm trying to upload it on fce which is on my imac. I am positive the fire wire cord/ connection is there because it recognizes a fire wire connection with a different camera (that i can't use to upload the footage with because it doesn't work properly except of course for the firewire conneciton). So everything being in perfect working order i try to upload in fce. It say's it can't locate the following external devices: Apple Fire Wire NTSC (720X480). I have tried resting the preferences, deleting quicklime receipts and then re downloading quicktime, I have had everything powered down when plugging in things. My presets for sequince and capture are DV NTSC 48kHz.
