Un-Needed Capture Files?

I need to free up a bunch of space on my external drive, and I find that most of what I need to free up is being taken up by capture files of footage and ADR from a short film I did last fall. I want to delete the unnecessary files and free up the space but I also want the option to go back and re-edit here and there if I need to. I opened the project and then looked at the capture files and it said they haven't been used in a few months. Does that mean I can delete them?

Check into the Media Manager in your manual to do this the proper way.
