Has anyone purchased a Sony SPSCAM10RSEW3 3-Year Extended Warranty for Professional Camcorders up to $10,000. At $149 is seems like a good deal considering these cameras are like computers with a lens.

Yes. I bought it. If you're going to keep the camera beyond the 1 year mfr warranty, it is good insurance. One repair would set you back more than the cost of the warranty.
Fortunately for us Sony Australia offer a 2 year warranty as standard on their professional gear like the EX1. Still, at $149 its not a bad price for only one extra year so 2 years is a bonus.

Yep, I bought it too. Given the bad history I had with my EX1 during this first year, I'm happy I bought the extra coverage.
