Hello, I'm editing a video, and what happens is that the camera falls over. Due to location restraints we had to shoot the camera falling over, and then the scene with the actual fallen camera separately. Thus, during the fall the camera needs to seem like it's glitching/freezing/blacking out/ and static. Is there a tutorial to help me do this? Can anybody give some suggestions? Would this be easier to do in FCP?

Thanks.

Try looking up some Hologram tutorials. That will introduce you to the Wave Warp filter. Mix in some high contrast Fractal Noise for snow and you are well on your way.

Fast way without any plug ins, is to take a few freeze frames, mask out some rectangular shapes, and then just have the freeze frame on the screen for a few seconds with the footage playing the background.
Also add in a few black/white small squares, 2 frames long.

Also try playing with some channel blur to pull the red/blue channels apart and degrade the signal.
