Will new single MP Nehalem drive 1080p MOVs in FCP?

Another WINTEL bigot caught in the corner the 5D MKII mov files have many of us in.


I want to use these 1080p files but PPro and my Quad system becomes too fussy and work arounds (conversions) completely slow down the workflow. Very frustrating.

So my question to the Collective:

Will the new single Nehalem MP with eight gigs in FCP drive these files natively ?

Typical productions requirements will have the rendering timelines under forty five minutes.

The cam shoots h.264.

that is a delivery format, not an editing format.

Convert the files to an editing format, such as pro res, and save your money.
