so, because i want filmic dof i am planning to buy a dof adapter (letus or brevis i believe). so is there any advantage to going with the ex3 instead of the ex1 since i am planning to do so...
i mean, i assume dslr lenses or prime lenses do not attach directly to the body of the ex3??? if they do, then the camera is ahead of its time as far as i knew of...

You already answered your own question. I LOVE our Letus Ultimate. But the only negatives with it I think will be solved with the release of the Letus EX3 rely lens.

1) The light loss when using an adaptor. The Letus EX3 rely should solve this because it's even faster compared to the stock Sony lens. I'm guessing there will be difference in light loss when comparing the Letus Ultimate with a 50mm Nikon f/1.4 compared to the bare EX3 lens.

2) It should be easier to change from shooting with an adaptor and without. Mounting/Dismounting the adaptor to the EX3 lens is a bit of a pain. Takes me about 15 minutes. Using the rely lens should help with this quite a bit as you can keep the rely and adaptor assembled and remove them together as one piece.
