Hey,

I was wondering if you guys might have some pointers on how to find freelance work. I'm all set up and ready to work but I have no clients...

Do you have a website with a good demo reel? If so, make some business cards with your name, job title(s) and that site. Then give one to everyone you can. Mention to everyone you know what you do, and even people you don't know while in conversation. Network at every opportunity as your job title, not just yourself. Post on Craigslist and any local listing service you may have, or not local listing service, as well as Google business. More links means your site gets more to the top, gets you slightly more hits/publicity. Maybe volunteer for a good cause to help get your name out. Be creative with your marketing, do something to publicize yourself that no one else is doing and none of us on this forum think of.

I second the creative marketing. Try to think of all the things you could do instead of a business card or resume. Type creative marketing into google and see what comes up for some ideas.

Thanks for the input.

I suppose I should first focus on making a website and putting some work on there. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while, but always seem to be preoccupied with jobs.
