IR not working?

Hey, just wondering if anyone had any issues with your IR Remotes, as I have used mine only once and bought the camera only 3 months ago... it would be really strange to already have it's battery wasted (it isn't working now).

Maybe I'm forgetting something? The manual says the only reasons for it not to work are being disabled from the menu and not having batteries.

The Remote is always turned off for some reason, and must be turned on in the menu each time you turn the camera on and off.

Yes I noticed, but it's not that, it's not working with the option turned on.
